NTRP 3.0/3.5 Drill

Registration is open!

Come and drill, play points, play games, have fun, meet people of your level, and get a workout in.

Our drills are co-ed, 1.5 hours each, once per week. Sign-ups are weekly.

Max 6 players per court.

Drills are NTRP-ratings based. So please sign up for your appropriate level, not “where you should be,” where you were 30 years ago, or you want to “play-up for the challenge.” It will be much better for all of us if you are honest with yourself and your ability! Don’t worry, we will tell you where you need to be if you are in the wrong group.

Not sure where you belong? Take a 1/2 hour private lesson from us to evaluate your game and see which level is best for you.

  • A 2.5 player is learning to judge where the ball is going although court coverage is developing. Can sustain a short rally of slow pace with other players of the same ability.

    Contact us for lesson availability.

  • 3.0 players are fairly consistent when hitting medium-paced shots, but is not comfortable with all strokes and lacks execution when trying for directional control, depth or power. Most common doubles formation is one-up and one-back.

A 3.5 player has achieved improved stroke dependability with directional control on moderate shots, but still lacks depth and variety. Starting to exhibit more aggressive net play, has improved court coverage and is developing teamwork in doubles.

Fridays 10:30-noon at Sunset Park starting 4/14. Register here.

  • A 4.0 player has dependable strokes, including directional control and depth on both forehand and backhand sides on moderate shots, plus the ability to use lobs, overheads, approach shots and volleys with some success. Occasionally forces errors when serving and teamwork in doubles is evident. Rallies may be lost due to impatience.
